The Dutch extreme metal band Slechtvalk recently finished recording their new album. The upcoming yet untitled album is recorded, mixed & mastered with Lasse Lammert at the LSD-Studio in Lübeck (Germany). The album will be released this fall/winter. A new update follows below:
‘It’s an exciting time for us: A few weeks ago Lasse Lammert made a mix of one song to be reviewed by us and made some tweaks based upon our comments until we were satisfied with the overall sound, so he could start mixing the other songs.
Tomorrow we expect to receive the mix of the other songs and we’re really looking forward to it. Then we’ll listen through all the songs a couple of times on different audio configurations (car, headphones, speakers), make a list of comments and send it to Lasse for tweaking etc. etc.’
‘We’ve no idea how long this process will take and a couple of us will go on holidays the coming weeks. Hopefully we’ll be able to agree on a final mix before that, but it’ll probably be August untill the mastering is done.’
‘Raymond Swanland (who also designed the new band logo & artwork of 2010’s “A Forlorn Throne”) is about to start workingon the cover artwork and we’re looking forward to what he creates based on our rough ideas.’
‘Then we can start working on the interior of the booklet and of course the perks that are dependant on Raymond‘s artwork (like the T-shirt and poster/sticker).’
‘Might be a close call wether we’ll have a finished product in November, but we’ll keep you updated on the progress.’

Slechtvalk‘s latest album “A Forlorn Throne” was released in the summer of 2010 through the German record label Whirlwind Records, and once and for all proved Slechtvalk’s dominance as one of the best Dutch Blackmetalacts, receiving excellent reviews throughout Europe.
