Additional info:: I’m an aging, straightedge punk/metalhead Christian and former soccer star, who is happily married to a beautiful woman and has two incredible kids. Music has always been a big part of my life, mostly just listening and going to shows but that has changed over time. Through going to shows and festivals and talking with bands, our family joined the RYFO organization and we are a host home for touring bands, so we’ve had quite a few bands come stay with us after shows or on their way through our city. One of my big claims to fame is being able to say I saw the mighty Black Flag in concert, but now that usually just means that I’m old…. Most people don’t realize that I’m also a bit of nerd as I did earn my Ph.D. in biochemistry and work as a scientist, so I spend some time trying to help people realize that scientists can be cool.
