Late last month, November 24th. was the start of the crowdfunding campaign for the fifth album of Slechtvalk. A new update follows below:
‘Last Saturday we’ve recorded some drums for a demo-version of the new album. Although we only had 6 hours to record 11 songs and the demo won’t be of exceptional quality (obviously), it will give us an idea of the songs in their current state and help us try out some different things to make them better. And actually finish the songs before we record the real thing.’
‘For the actual studio recordings we can use the demo as a reference, so we won’t forget anything. It will save us a lot of time during the actual studio recordings and allow us to bring a little more depth/layers to the songs.’
‘We hope to finish the demo-recordings in the second week of January and share some of the demo-stuff with you!’
‘Until then, enjoy some videos we’ve made during the recording session with Grimbold and check out the ‘Signed Drumskin’ perk, which is a real bargain, considering that half of the price goes into shipping (folding it would be cruel):’
