The programming of the 11th edition of the Brainstorm Festival is steadily taking shape. Power Quest (UK), Angel Nation (UK) and Despicable Heroes (NL) have been added to the line-up of the event that will take place on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 November 2018 in Gigant, Apeldoorn. The headliner of the festival will follow, as will many other bands.
With Power Quest, Brainstorm Festival brings DragonForce‘s ‘brother’ into its home. The English band was founded by Steve Williams, who was active in the early years at DragonForce. Power Quest also knows how to play infectious power-metal. Since their come-back in 2016 it’s the band for the wind, as witnessed by the strong album “Sixth Dimension”.
Angel Nation (pictured) has no less than Elina Siirala standing behind the microphone. Nowadays we also know this Finnish singer from Leaves’ Eyes, but Angel Nation is her first love. Like Power Quest, Angel Nation has released a new album through Innerwound Recordings, and the hit single ‘Burn The Witch’ is driving the gothic-metal band to ever-increasing heights.
What else can we say about Despicable Heroes? After winning the Metal Battle earlier this year, the band is a welcome guest on many festivals. The band had already performed at the Brainstorm Festival before and we are now adding a new chapter. Despicable Heroes operates on the border between metalcore and death metal, so it’s going to be wild.
Earlier the Brainstorm Festival announced the arrival of Pyramaze (DK/USA), Signum Regis (SK), Leonov (NO) and Opus Irae (DE). The early bird action is over, but regular tickets (weekend combi and day tickets) are available from now on here:
The 11th edition of the Brainstorm Festival will take place on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 November in pop venue Gigant in Apeldoorn. In addition to the mainstage, the festival also makes use of the theatre for special performances, interviews and debate. There is also an exhibition, a beer tasting and a small metal market.
Brainstorm Festival was formed in the beginning of 2008 with a clear mission to enter a new era of music festivals as we know it. Brainstorm Festival is known as an independent cultural rock- and metalfestival, that provides a stage to both new talent as well as metal-dinosaurs. The festival combines hardrock with extreme metal. Besides concerts Brainstorm Festival offers a program in the theater of the club with acoustic performances, interviews, debate and competitions. Also there is an exposition taking place each year, plus a small metal-market.
