Megadeth bassist David Ellefson has posted a 15-minute video clip (see below) featuring footage of his “sightseeing” tour prior to the band’s appearance at this week’s Gulf Bike Week 2012 at the Festival Park, Dubai Festival City, United Arab Emirates. Megadeth performed on October 18, with support from Dubai’s very own resident rock bands Absolace and Sandwash.
Tyler Mervyn, Managing Director, Live Nation Middle East, said when the show was announced: “After a year hiatus from the Gulf Bike festival,Live Nation is thrilled to once again be working with Clarion and ecstatic to announce the concert series lineup for Gulf Bike Week 2012. We recognize that there is been a major void in live rock and metal music scene in Dubai, and put together this lineup with that in mind, and feel that the concerts will appeal to everyone; bikers, rockers or otherwise.”

The 20th-anniversary edition of Megadeth‘s 1992 double platinum-certified Countdown To Extinction album will be released on November 6 via Capitol/EMI.
Megadeth will perform the acclaimed album in its entirety on their Countdown To Extinction 20th Anniversary Tour this November and December. Tour dates are listed below.
Presented in a 2CD lift-top box and digitally, Countdown To Extinction‘s new commemorative edition pairs the remastered original album with a 1992 concert, recorded live at San Francisco’s Cow Palace, which has never before been released in its entirety. The concert audio has been newly remixed for this release. The physical and digital versions both include a booklet with a new liner notes essay by music journalist Kory Grow, and the 2CD box also contains a 24″ x 36″ poster and four collectible postcards.
