As the year wanders wearily towards its end, the days shortening and the nights drawing in, we enter a time of celebrations, festivities and traditions…and one of those traditions is the release of the Rottweiler Records Christmas singles selection! This year, working in association with Broken Curfew Records, the label is primed to serve up an absolute feast of powerful underground music – ranging from emotive alt-rock to skull shattering grindcore…On December 5th Rottweiler Records and Broken Curfew Records will release ‘Flicker Of December’ from Seth Metoyer, a song of immeasurable emotional depth, full of great melodies and a stunning lead vocal performance. Steeped in melancholy this is a beautiful, heart rending track, a hymn to times past and precious things lost… “I’m not asking for forever, just a prayer in the dark…one more magical December that flickers in my heart…” Memorable song writing of the very highest magnitude…

On the same day, December 5th, Rottweiler Records will also release Cleansing Of The Temple’s very different entry into this catalogue of seasonal singles. The South Carolina deathcore troupe offer up an outstanding interpretation of the traditional tune, ‘Mary Did You Know?’, turning it into an epic journey of musical extremes; black metal, melodic death metal and deathcore colliding, complete with a next level vocal performance of absolute madness. There’s even a brilliantly executed acoustic section as Cleansing The Temple take a festive single release and make it a showcase for the breadth, scope and fierce focus of the band.

Finally, on December 19th, Rottweiler Records and Broken Curfew Records will combine again for the release of ‘King Of Nails’ from grindcore heroes Pulpit Vomit. This is a wild, shocking exercise in chaos, madness and blistering intensity. In a few brief minutes Pulpit Vomit redefine what a Christmas single can be and deliver one of the most fearsome songs of the year. ‘King Of Nails’ is a match for anything that graced Pulpit Vomit’s superb Hospital Lens debut album and promises more spirit-shaking sonic savagery to come.
