An alt-rock trio hailing from Nashville, TN, Paper Route have been writing and performing together for upwards of a decade. During this time, Paper Route have toured the world with bands such as Mutemath, Paramore, and Imagine Dragons, among others. After a four year wait, their much anticipated third full-length album, “Real Emotion,” will be released on Sept. 23. The band’s new single ‘Chariots,’ featured in the upcoming FIFA 17 soundtrack, is currently at alternative radio. Download their new ‘Chariots’ WasteLand remix, premiering today, exclusively on NoiseTrade.
Everyone who downloads this ‘Chariots’ remix will be entered to win a “Real Emotion” prize package, featuring: a bottle of Paper Route pills (side effects include real emotion); limited edition bandana & lapel pin; and a signed “Real Emotion” CD, in which the packaging folds out to build the art installation in which the band shot their album cover.
A lifelong artist, band frontman and main lyricist JT Daly found visual inspiration for the album cover from emerging themes on the album. Using mixed materials – items like a cassette boombox radio, an old TV, playing cards, a bowl of pill capsules, along with prints and paint – Daly and longtime collaborative art partner Micah Bell crafted an immersive room installation, with all surrounding walls and floor draped with several individual pieces, each inspired by a track off “Real Emotion.” Watch the video below to view the process of creating the “Real Emotion” art installation.
