la ventura_2015La-Ventura playing ‘Song For An Idiot’ yesterday (June 3rd.) live at Cultuurpodium Boerderij, Zoetermeer, The song is taken from the 2013 album “White Crow”. The video can be seen below.

Yesterday there was some sad news from the La-Ventura camp: “Last week our guitarplayer Sascha, suffered a minor injury. The doctor strongly advised him not go on stage tomorrow. So….our gig at Boerderij Cultuurpodium will be a memorable one, cause we’ve decided to not cancel the show but perform with just the three of us! Mike (our bassplayer) will take over the guitar on stage while the bass parts will be coming from the backing tracks. We will promise to give it a 200% and apologise for the unexpected inconvenience.”

La-Ventura will perform at our Mauce.nl Festival on Saturday June 18th. 6 other bands will enter the stage: Pantokrator (Death Metal from Sweden), My Silent Wak e(Gothic Doom Metal from the United Kingdom), The Royal (Metalcore from Holland), Undawn (Metalcore from Holland), The Memory Remains (80’s/90’s metal from Holland) & Empire of the Wolves (Metalcore/Deathcore from Holland). The festival will be held at Naxt Stage, Almelo, the Netherlands. For tickets and information see the poster below.

La-Ventura was founded in early 2007. With just one single out called ‘Trefoil’, it caught the eye of labels around the world, battling it out for an exclusive deal. The band released their first full length album “A New Beginning” in 2008 through Renaissance Records (USA), followed by an EP in 2010. Their second album called “White Crow” has seen the light of days in 2013 with an independent release for The Benelux. Recorded in a top studio (MII Studio, France) blending analogue with digital, the sound of the band improved immensely. The tracks gained in power and conviction, never losing the real live sound and feel.

Their latest effort “2.0” EP has been released on Nov. 7th. through Valkyrie Rising (Germany, Switzerland and Austria) / Ravenheart Music (UK, Ireland and The Benelux)

Our review for “2.0” can be found here.

Currently the band is working on its third studio album, which should come out later this year.

La-Ventura confirm they are a solid band, they deserve their place on the map and on the various stages in Europe and around the world. The band is back, indeed, stronger than before!

The band is comprised of: Carla van Huizen – vocals, Mike Saffrie – bass, Sascha Kondic – guitar, Stefan Simons – drums.
