‘Kevin Young’ Says ‘Tonight At ‘Christmas Rocknight’ Marks The End Of An Era…’

Disciple‘s vocalist Kevin Young just posted the following message on their facebook profile:

Tonight in Germany [Christmas Rocknight] will be the last show with our beloved friends Micah & Israel. Micah is leaving the band to pursue his passion of recording & producing. Israel, a new father, is coming off the road to be near his family. Micah & Israel have been a strong foundation in this band for the last 5 years and have made life very easy for me and the other guys because of their hard work ethic and stress-free environment they create. They will be sorely missed. I know that their departure will raise some questions, so I will try to answer some of them now. Disciple will continue on with me and Trent. We are very excited about the players that will be joining us for our Spring tour: Rich Ward on Lead Guitar [Fozzy/Stuck Mojo], Josiah Prince on Guitar [Philmont], and Jason Wilkes on Bass [Lead Singer of High Flight Society]. So tonight marks the end of an era as we say farewell to the “Beard” and “The Backflip.” Please join me in this post as we thank Micah & Israel for their service to this ministry for the last 5 years, and pray that God will richly bless them in the future – Kevin.

O God Save Us All is the ninth critically acclaimed album from Christian Rock & Alternative Metal group Disciple released last month on Nov 13, 2012 via Fair Trade Services.

The first single released was the song Draw The Line [the song can be streamed below] which hit number 45 in the Billboard Christian Songs chart. The album shares a Hard Rock sound, alike the albums Disciple and Back Again, but mix the sound that make them known, also the disc brings full energy in some of the songs, and shares some soft-rock songs that make of the album an unforgettable release, something new in the band’s history.

The cover artwork features the Chi Rho image, as symbol of Christ and the main message of the record, that includes lyrics that talks about the God’s love and the relation between people and God, our past and the things that We’ve done before.

The album debuted number 5 in the Billboard Christian chart and number 9 in the Hard Rock chart.

  1. I wish Kevin and the “new Disciple” guys well… I have many fond memories of my time working with Kevin, Brad and Tim from 1996 to 2002 (including our first time play Christmas Rocknight)… So many changes since then, but thankfully God NEVER changes! God bless you guys!
