Death Dealer led by Ross “The Boss” Friedman of Manowar fame, have announced their first ever run of shows in Australia and New Zealand, set for early September 2015. Hardline Media has reached an agreement to bring the band down under for a series of headlining shows to support their upcoming July record release. After the global success of their debut “Warmaster”, Death Dealer has announced they have finished their sophomore effort and have signed a worldwide record deal with an as of yet undisclosed record label.
Ross clarified the latest goings on. ‘We just finished up our second record and have found a label that is really going to go all out it to support it in ways you don’t really see anymore. Once they heard it they made us an offer we could not pass up.’ Ross added more. ‘After we did the Metal All Stars run in Eastern Europe, which was almost all big arenas, the phone really started ringing and now we are doing this Australian run which I can’t wait for, but also headlining for two weeks in Europe in late July of this year. Details on the album release and European tour will be revealed in the following weeks.’
Guitarist Stu Marshall who plays alongside Ross, is a native Australian and a veteran of the Aussie band Dungeon. Also brief clips of some new tracks can be heard in the tour announcement video for the very first time.
Death Dealer’s debut album, “War Master”, has been released in August 2013 through Steel Cartel Records.
Album review quote:
“This is one of those albums that while maybe not taking itself too seriously has obviously had a lot of time and attention put into it in terms of not only the performances, but also the song writing. Pulling together a group of highly experienced musicians certainly has benefits and their overall experience and musical maturity shine throughout the album.”
