Dark Night is a 4 piece band from Brazil. Dark Knight is known as “a christian answer to King Diamond”. The band have released their 2nd full lenght called “Cemetery Porter”.
With 10 tracks highly influenced by names like King Diamond, Mercyful Fate and Haven, “Cemetery Porter” is most dynamic and faster than the previous album, but the principal points of the band are here, like the vocals in 3 different styles, great solos, dark keyboards and lyrics that only Dark Night have in the christian scene.
The highlights of “Cemetery Porter” are “New York, Dreams In The Night” (with a great chorus and a good work from Lord Mad Max, the drummer), “Alone In The Dark”, “Cemetery Porter” and “America”, which is a cover, originally recorded by Haven.
The production is good and all the instruments can be heard. But, unfortunately, the booklet is very poor. It only have two pages, without lyrics. This is very sad, because the style that Dark Night plays need the lyrics to explain their “terror-stories” to the listeners.
