Dani Nolden of Brazilian female-fronted metallers Shadowside reported the following update regarding their upcoming album:
“The recordings of the new Shadowside album went really well! I know I’m biased but I honestly think it sounds AWESOME! It is everything that I ever wanted to record in my career – it’s heavy, modern, even though it’s 80’s influenced, it has beautiful melodies, but I was able to do some of the most aggressive vocals that I’ve ever done, and I can’t wait to see it released and available to you all. I’m very proud of it and I think you will all love it just as much as I do!”
“While it’s not released, check out Shadowside‘s official page to watch a few videos of the recordings so you can have an idea of how everything is sounding!”
Shadowside recently announced the endorsement agreement with ENGL amplifiers, whose family of artists include names such as Steve Morse, Paul Stanley (Kiss), Marty Friedman, Ritchie Blackmore, Jeff Loomis (Arch Enemy), Andre Olbrich (Blind Guardian) and Michael Romeo (Symphony X).
Guitarist Raphael Mattos will use the Fireball amp, which is already being used on the recordings of Shadowside‘s new album. The band is already reunited with producer Fredrik Nordström (Arch Enemy, Evergrey, Bring me the Horizon, Hammerfall, Architects) at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden, where they are in the recording process of the new material, which will mark the official debut of Swedish bass player Magnus Rosén (ex-Hammerfall) as a member of Shadowside.
