Norwegian christian death metallers Extol issued the following update, due to their Crowdfunding Campaign which began yesterday:
Waking up today was unlike waking up other days. The way you people have responded to this project is nothing short of overwhelming. Within the first day of this campaign, we have almost reached 50% of our goal, and that is truly amazing. We are humbled and moved by your contributions, comments and support. This lets all the people involved know that this is happening, and this is going to be amazing! And just to let you guys know, the biggest newspaper in our area The Drammen Daily contacted us today and wants to do a piece on the project and the status of the crowdfunding campaign! This is thanks to you guys! A mere thank you is truly not enough. But we will work hard as metal to give back to you guys every single step of the road. All the best from the producers Aasmund & Peter.
Extol have returned to the studio to record their fifth album.
Commented the band: “After the The Blueprint Dives [album] in 2005 and the massive worldwide touring with bands such as Mastodon and Opeth, we dissapeared without any further explanation. Now, 5 years later, we are back on track working on what is to be our fifth full-length. As expected from the musical legacy of Extol, no compromise is offered.”
Mastermind Ole Børud has returned, and along with David Husvik and Peter Espevoll, the trio now constitutes the 2012 lineup of Extol, we keep you posted.
