Doug “Dug” Pinnick of King’s X has released a new digital-only single via RockArmy Records and his own dUgtone imprint. The single features the songs What You Gonna Do? and Courage, and is a precursor to his new album, Naked, coming out via RockArmy Records in the first quarter of 2013. Check the video below for What You Gonna Do.
Pinnick is best known as the vocalist/bassist for long-running hard rock trio King’s X, also featuring guitarist Ty Tabor and drummer Jerry Gaskill. Pinnick‘s other endeavors include Poundhound, Supershine, Tres Mountains [with Jeff Ament of Pearl Jam], an upcoming record with Eric Gales and Thomas Pridgen, and numerous solo projects and collaborations with artists that include George Lynch, Gilby Clarke, Jose & The Wastemen, and Robbi Robb of Tribe After Tribe and Three Fish.
RockArmy Records is owned and operated by Paul Soroski, who is known as the bassist in the band Podunk [who have toured nationally with King’s X and Tesla numerous times] and as a producer and engineer, with credits including Ill Nino, Reckless Sons, Cinco Doce, and a Grammy-nominated Latin all-star project led by Randy Caballero.
