U.S. metallers War Of Ages will return to the Brainstorm Festival in The Netherlands. The band will co-headline this year’s festival on November 8th. at the Gigant, Apeldoorn. The first time they played there was in 2011, pictures can be seen here.
Also confirmed for this year’s festival are: Orphaned Land (IS), Gloryhammer [UK], Crimson Moonlight (S), Veni Domine [S], The 11th Hour (NL) & Safe Mode (S), La Ventura (NL), Premnath (NL) and Despicable Heroes [NL]. In total 10 bands will be featured mainstage, plus several extra shows will take place in the theater of the festival. One extra act will be announced soon.
War Of Ages are currently on tour through Europe with “Hell On Earth” 2014 tour.. Boston’s metal outfit Unearth is headlining the European tour and will bring the clubs to a boil with their heavy sound! Their colleagues in Shadows Fall are also on board. They will be supported by The Acacia Strain and War Of Ages. But that’s not all! You can look forward to one more band per show. The trek kicked off on Aug. 28 in Germany and runs to Sept. 14. dates and locations are listed below.
War Of Ages released their sixth studio album,“Supreme Chaos” on July 22 via Facedown Records. A music video for its lead single, ‘From Ashes.’ which was shot on location in Girard, PA and Westfield, NY can be seen below.
“Supreme Chaos” is their most potent album yet. On “Supreme Chaos” the band steps into deconstruction territory, approaching the recording process with a structured plan of “writing metal songs, ripping them apart, and adding powerful new elements.” Recorded with Josh Barber at Covenant Studios (Norma Jean, EISM) and mixed by Will Putney (Impending Doom, For Today), it would seem that “Supreme Chaos” got the royal treatment from some of the finest sound engineers in the business.
