The Athens, Georgia-based melodic metal band Theocracy have uploaded the track ‘Theocracy’ to YouTube. The track comes off their self-titled debut album re-issue that will be released on November 15th in Europe and November 19th in North America through Ulterium Records. Listen to the song below:
Ulterium Records will release also a 12″ double gatefold vinyl edition of the album, strictly limited to 500 copies worldwide.
The Theocracy debut album was originally released through MetalAges Records in 2003, and is currently very rare and hard to find.
Theocracy drummer Shawn Benson recorded the drums for the re-release, while nothing else was re-recorded. Matt Smith completely re-mixed the album, with the mastering handled by Mika Jussila [Stratovarius, Nightwish, Edguy]. Release dates will be announced soon. Check out a short album teaser below:
Theocracy will return to Europe for a tour next month. Dates and locations are listed below.
Their latest album As The World Bleeds was released in Europe on November 25th 2011 through Ulterium Records and in North America on November 21st 2011 through Nightmare Records.
As The World Bleeds debuted at #40 in the Billboard Heatseekers Chart during the first week of release.
