The Dutch extreme metal band Slechtvalk finished recording their new album In April of last year. The upcoming album is recorded, mixed & mastered with Lasse Lammert at the LSD-Studio in Lübeck (Germany). Initially the release was postponed to early 2016, but it will take a little longer. The band have checked in with the following update:
“Two months ago we sent out several promo’s to various labels in order to get better promotion and distribution than we could do by ourselves. So far we haven’t received a viable offer and though most have not sent any response whatsover, we can’t wait indefinitely, which means that at this point we assume it’ll remain a self-release, so we’ll proceed accordingly with the final stages.”
“We hope to have the album ready by December 2016. If we happen to receive a viable offer from a Record label in the mean time, we’ll keep you informed.”
“We also hope to have all the perks ready by that time, but the Lyric Book, turned out to be a huge time-sink. At this point I’ve finished the explanation of each song (meaning, inspiration), but writing the extensive ‘background info’ to each song (it’s place in the greater fantasy story) proves to be more difficult.”
