Christian rock band Skillet released their first Christmas song, ‘O Come, O Come Emmanuel,‘ along with a music video. The song was also featured in a social collaboration with “Fox & Friends.” Watch it down below. The release concludes Skillet’s incredible year, which includes sold-out gigs throughout Europe this summer and a tour of Mexico City, Lima, Buenos Aires, and Santiago in Central and South America prior to the start of “The Awakening Tour” with Jeremy Camp on November 6.
On December 2, fans may join Skillet on YouTube for “A Rock Feed Christmas Special”—an evening filled with surprises, music, and conversation. In collaboration with Vet Tix, a group the band has long supported, the event will include a unique live Q&A session with U.S. war veterans. In an effort to promote ongoing generosity and awareness, Skillet is highlighting Vet Tix this season in collaboration with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Our fans have been demanding a Christmas song for years, and we are so thrilled to have finally recorded one. We arranged and produced it ourselves, so we were able to put our heart and soul into it. Making a classic piece sound like Skillet was the mission, and we can’t wait for fans to hear it! – John and Korey Cooper
Skillet has been one of Christian music’s most successful and recognizable bands with a career dating back to the mid-1990s. Hit songs like “Hero,” “Monster,” and “Feel Invincible” were legitimate hits in the mainstream. Starting with 2024’s Revolution, the band has operated independently, offering them a newfound sense of creative freedom that makes projects like this more possible.
Recently Skillet revealed dates for an European indoor tour for next year. Check out the confirmed dates and get your tickets here!
