Saviour Machine will perform the first of [6] consecutive concerts in Europe! These six performances will be the ONLY performances in 2012 and likely, the FINAL “intimate theater concerts” we will be able to give… Immediately following this one week “Theater Tour,” we will begin post production of a comprehensive documentary / concert film, highlighting & showcasing footage from all 7 acoustic performances.
Our performance in Heilbronn, Germany (Sept 10th, 2011) was in many ways, “an experiment in logistics.” ; ) It was such a tremendous success, (artistically and theatrically) we are returning to Europe for what could be considered six [6] “encore performances.” From the inception of this production, (originally announced December 31st, 2011) we’d planned to perform this unique acoustic production a minimum of 7 times… Our “hope/plan” was to perform these dates in The United States, however, we found out very quickly that booking THEATERS in the U.S. is nearly impossible… It’s hard enough to even find them here! ; )
So… As it has been for nearly 20 years, the opportunities for SM to perform quality venues (in this case… theaters) was (and IS) far greater in Europe… And so it went… And so it goes… And here we come again: 6 shows in 6 days!
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 3rd to SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 8th
*[4] of the [6] performances have already been secured*
Munich / Amsterdam / Heilbronn (2 nights) are now set… The [2] remaining available dates are currently being bid on… The strongest “contenders” are Hamburg / Leipzig / Berlin / Zurich… We hope to solidify these two remaining available dates / cities / venues in the next 3 to 4 weeks.
Once the [2] final venues are confirmed and secured, we will make the “official” announcement with all [6] dates, locations & venue information… ALL the details (venues, theater information, seating charts, ticket pricing, etc…) will immediately be made available on facebook & at saviourmachine.com. Tickets will go on sale for all [6]
performances simultaneously… We will keep you posted!
At this moment, I can only “officially” announce that the two [2] performances in Heilbronn are confirmed on FRI, SEPT 7th & SAT, SEPT 8th… They will be the final two [2] performances of the tour… Munich, Amsterdam and the remaining [2] shows will take place Monday – Thursday.
As promised, ALL final details / info will be posted ASAP!
Finally, I’d like to give you some “creative information” in regards to these unique performances… Because we will be performing [6] concerts over [6] consecutive evenings, SM will be performing three [3] completely different sets:
*SET #1 will be performed on MON & THURS (Sept 3 & 6)
*SET #2 will be performed on TUES & FRIDAY (Sept 4 & 7)
*SET #3 will be performed on WED & SAT……(Sept 5 & 8)
*PLEASE don’t ask me to publish the set lists… I can’t… ; )
I assure you that all [3] sets will be diverse & wonderful! We have over 6 hours of material to choose from… Each set will have distinction, diversity, balance & surprises! : )
