pospolitePolish medieval folk rock metallers Pospolite Ruszenie reported the folowing:

“Another song off our upcoming album is to premiere on Polish National Radio III on 18th 04 2013 thanks to Wojciech Ossowski, the host of the “Ossobliwości muzyczne” program. “Ossobliwości muzyczne” is the only folk-metal show on Polish National Radio; it runs 00:05 – 02:00 AM every Wed/Thu night. Pospolite Ruszenie has been a frequent guest on the program.

Listen to “Ossobliwości muzyczne to witness the global premiere of our new song „Nie złodziejem” (“Not a thief”). The track – just like “Goodnight, Annie” – is a XVIIth century Polish love song.

A youtube clip should follow as well, so international fans could listen to it, too. However, it will happen a little bit later – Radio Listeners will have this time a priority.”

The band are still working on their debut LP: “Right now we are half-way through the mix stage, which is still going to take several days. This will be followed by feedback/minor corrections stage, then mastering, etc. The bottom line is, it’s going to be a while until the actual CD is available for you to purchase… A pain, isn’t it? We just cannot wait to share our new songs with you guys! ‘

Pospolite Ruszenie (Levy in mass) has brought together musicians from two completely different musical worlds: that of rock, and that of early music. The band’s line up comprises members of the cult band Open Folk and rock bands such as Illuminandi and Rumor.

Their music fuses (hard) rock with mediaeval, renaissance and baroque music; a classic rock line-up is accompanied by musicians performing on replicas of period instruments. They use original Old Polish poetry for their lyrics. The band released their first EP – Swiebodnosc  in 2011 (the title comes from medieval song popular in XV century and means a generosity or a magnanimity).

Line-up: Jan Trebacz – vocals, hurdy-gurdy Pawel Iwaszkiewicz – bagpipes, flutes, schawms Regina Szlachta – vielle, viola da gamba (treble and tenor), violone Krzysztof Kramarz – electric guitars (6 and 7 string), acoustic guitars Papirus – drums – Bako – bass guitar.
