The Tunisian Oriental Progressive Metal band Myrath have been confirmed a concert in their home land, after playing alongside Orphaned Land all around Europe and supporting the Finnish Metal vocalist Tarja in France. They will be playing at Festiv’Aids, an educational and cultural event whose main objective is to raise youth awareness about the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases.
The festival, which will take place from 29th to 31st March, will feature concerts from bands from different music genres, such as Rock, Jazz or Electro.
Myrath will be playing on 29th March alongside the local Stoner Rock band The Green Stones Eater. The concert will take place at La Maison de Culture Ibn Rachik, located in Tunis, Tunisia.
Myrath [which means Legacy] was founded in 2001, and is a Metal band from Tunis-Tunisia, a small country well known for its resort areas on the Mediterranean coast but certainly not for its metal bands, yet in just few years what started out as a teenager cover band became a relatively well known and respected band by the international Prog-Power Metal community.
In the end of last year, Myrath toured through Europe, to support Orphaned Land on their European Tour The Tour To OR Shalem, along with French/Algerian/Moroccan oriental Metal band Arkan and French punk rockers ArtWeg.
