Morten Veland (SIRENIA, MORTEMIA and founder of TRISTANIA)  recently released the second  Mortemia  song from ‘The Cover Collab Sessions’. A collection of 12 cover songs featuring 12 different guest singers. This track is a cover version of ‘Dream On’ originally recorded by Aerosmith, featuring Linda Toni Grahn on guest vocals. The song is available on all digital platforms.

“I’m proud and honoured to welcome my friend and collaborator Linda Toni Grahn back as my special guest for ‘The Cover Collab Sessions’. Me and Linda already released the song ‘Forever and Beyond’ a few years ago, as part of ‘The Pandemic Pandemonium Sessions’. This time we have done our own version of the classic song ‘Dream on’, originally by Aerosmith. This is a song that we both have loved since our early years. While working on this song Linda’s voice appeared in my mind through the whole process, so I just had to check with Linda if she was up to it, and luckily she loved the idea as well.I feel truly privileged and thankful to have Linda on board my Mortemia project once more, and we can’t wait to share this song with you all.”

“Dream On has been with me since my teenage years, a song that shaped me as an artist. I used to sing it while dreaming of the future, feeling the magic of music. When Morten asked me to collaborate, I didn’t hesitate. It was the perfect chance to connect my blues/rock roots with a modern metal sound, refined by Morten’s unique touch. Hearing his version made everything feel so natural.”

After 11 years of silence Norwegian multi-instrumentalist, producer and artist Morten Veland activated his solo project Mortemia during the early stages of the Covid 19 pandemic, this time with a brand new concept consisting of collaborations with multiple guest singers. ‘The Pandemic Pandemonium Sessions’ was a series of singles released on a monthly basis, each song featuring a well known and highly profiled guest singer from the metal scene. Now he is ready to endeavor on the next project entitled ‘The Covid Aftermath Sessions’, once more the project will feature multiple amazing guest singers.
