Cruentis is a Melodic Death Metal Band originating in British Columbia, on the west coast of Canada. While there is the common ground of pummelling rhythm, haunting choirs and soaring leads, their sound is unique from song to song. Cruentis draws inspiration from bands across the metal spectrum, from Dimmu Borgir to Kalmah, from Dark Tranquillity to Insomnium and all things musically crushing. Cruentis was formed by guitarist/vocalist Tyler DeMerchant and bassist/vocalist Jesse Dean. The band is now signed to Hagah Recordings and in the middle of producing their third release, which they consider to be Cruentis’ heaviest, most aggressive, and vociferous release to date.
