Earlier today on social media, John Cooper of Skillet shared an image of himself in front of a storm background and posted the caption, “A storm is gathering… good news coming soon.” The photo was taken by Samuel Womer, a filmmaker based in Skillet‘s hometown of Nashville, Tennessee.

Last month in an interview with Blabbermouth.net, John teased that new music is in the works saying, “Everybody lookout for new Skillet music this year. I hope it rocks your face off.” Many Panheads have been speculating that the image might be suggesting that new music is in the works.

Feni Jyrwa commented with lots of enthusiasm on Facebook saying, “Can’t wait to hear some good music!! Let’s go Skillet!!!

Carl Christiansen had an interesting idea and said, “Hard rock covers of Casting Crowns songs?”

Joe Pratt got some attention with his comment saying, “SKILLET/STRYPER tour in 2022?”

Steve Jenkins gave some encouragement and said, “Great picture! Looking forward to hearing the good news.”
