Grave Robber was honored to be asked to write the theme song for Canada Feed The Children’s “Hunger Haunts” campaign, a series of Halloween spook houses that raise money to feed hungry kids in Canada.
‘Hunger Haunts’ will be used as the theme song for radio and TV commercials!
This song will be available on Grave Robber‘s upcoming album “Straight To Hell” which will be released October 7th. via Rottweiler Records on iTunes and every download portal worldwide. Also available on vinyl format.
Canadian Feed The Children (CFTC) is an international development agency dedicated to alleviating the suffering and hunger of children around the world and in Canada since 1986. The organization’s objectives are reached by working with local partners in Africa (Ethiopia, Ghana, and Uganda), Bolivia, Haiti, and Canada. Revenues generated primarily through child sponsorship, monthly giving, annual and major gifts from individuals and organizations, and a symbolic gift catalogue provide education, nutrition, clean water/sanitation, health support, and livelihood development for children, their families and communities in priority areas.
CFTC is currently undergoing a period of transformation as the organization moves from a year-to-year focus on program activities to a longer-term view with a focus on sustainable impact. While early in the process, this transformation has involved a new leadership team, a comprehensive review of financial and operational practices, and embarking on a Theory of Change initiative, which is helping to reshape and focus all program work globally. This initiative will allow CFTC to focus on what we do best – programming in the areas of health, nutrition, education and food security through livelihoods – while creating the space to put results-based measurement systems in place and to partner strategically with other organizations to achieve long-term social change. One of the pilot projects for this work is in our Canadian Aboriginal programs with a focus on health & nutrition and the second pilot project is our work in Ghana with a focus on education (basic), livelihoods (food security) and health (nutrition).
