Earth Groans have newly released a cover of Deftones‘ 1997 single “My Own Summer (Shove It)“. Just ahead of releasing the track, the Earth Groans stated of their rendition, “It’s a cover song from a huge influence along with one of the greatest bands to ever exist.”
“My Own Summer (Shove It)” is a single by American alternative metal band Deftones, their first to be taken from the album “Around the Fur.” It was released in 1997 by Maverick Records. It was Deftones’ first charting single, reaching number 29 in the UK Singles Chart.
