Circle_of_Dust_remastered_cd7Circle of Dust recently returned after nearly 20 years, the 90s industrial / electronic-rock project created by visionary artist/producer Klayton is back in the scene. ‘Contagion’ the first single is released last week – you can find ‘Contagion’ now wherever you buy or stream music.

As we previously reported, all four Circle of Dust albums will be reissued. Not only are all the re-releases being remastered, but each will include demos, unreleased bonus tracks, acoustic/alternate versions of tracks as well as some new remixes, with each album being released every 8 weeks, starting with the Self-Titled on March 4th, 2016. Check out an 15 minutes album teaser below.

As Klayton began planning the remastering and re-release of the original albums, a new idea began to grow. He decided to not only re-release each album, but to fully resurrect the project and create a new full-length Circle of Dust album, to be released December 2016, nearly 20 years after the last Circle of Dust release.

From Dust…

The 1992 self-titled Circle of Dust album marked the beginning of Klayton’s legacy (Celldweller, Scandroid & Owner/Founder of FiXT) as he began his exploration into the unknown. The album gives listeners a glimpse of Klayton’s earliest experiments with sci-fi inspired industrial & electronic-rock. Never one to be held back by the limitations of the technology available to him, the entire album was created using a Mac Classic with 1mb of system RAM and a 40mb hard drive along with an Ensoniq EPS 16+ mono sampler.

The album has been meticulously remastered with modern sonic precision, improving upon the sound of the original tracks and breathing new life into them. Additionally, Klayton has gone above and beyond in collecting nearly an hour of bonus material including a rare acoustic version of ‘Onenemy.’ Also featured are raw 4-track cassette demos (with the “Demoralize” demo leading to Klayton’s first record deal) and a series of unreleased songs, demos & b-sides simply titled – “Dust.”

To cap it all off, Blue Stahli has contributed a remix of ‘Nothing Sacred’ and Klayton has included a bonus single, ‘Neophyte’, from the upcoming full-length Circle of Dust album to be released in December 2016, nearly 20 years since the last Circle of Dust release.
