The line-up for Brainstorm Festival 2012 is complete. The countdown has begun… Proudly we announce the last two bands for mainstage: Antestor (NO), Social Suicide (NO)
Unfortunately both Crimson Moonlight (S) and Inevitable End (S) cancel their shows, due to obligations from certain bandmembers at their jobs. To compensate this loss, we succeeded in offering you the best alternatives possible.
With the confirmation of the black-sorrow band Antestor we have the honour of presenting you one of the most controversial bands from the Norwegian metalscene. Also, this show will be their official ‘release-gig’ for their new album! On top of that this will be the first Antestor-show in The Netherlands. Don’t miss this already legendary show!
With Inhale/Exhale again Brainstorm Festival succeeded in finding a high quality band from the USA. This great metalcore band is our perfect headliner for the Friday-evening!
Social Suicide from the northern parts of Europe brings great punk/hardcore. The growing reputation of this Nordic band now leads them to Brainstorm Festival for an energetic show!
Illuminandi already gained a lot of fans in The Netherlands. Their classical orientated metal with some folk-influences, combined with clean vocals and grunst, is well received by a wide audience. Their skills on stage finish the show perfectly.
Not only their name sounds like fun, Aliens Ate My Setlist (Nuclear Blast) also knows how to start a huge party with funny lyrics and quality post-hardcore. This is the new sensation coming from Germany, for the very first time on stage in Holland. You don’t want to miss this one!
Of course we don’t forget our local bands. Earlier we already booked It Never Rains (with members of Morphia) and now we confirm Grim Ordeal. They bring a good mix of thrash, groove-metal and metalcore-influences!
This year we have more artists playing in the theater of Brainstorm Festival. The first artists are now confirmed:
Premnath Gonesh (NL), The Circle Ends (NL/CH)
Pianist Premnath Gonesh (Slechtvalk) takes you on a journey of dark, atmospheric classical music. His pianowork will be accomplished by a guitarist. Relax a moment during all rock-violence!
The loud rockband The Circle Ends knows well how to play an acoustic set. The band has proven this during several European tours. Acoustic, but with a rockin’ edge!
Ticket-sales have started. Make sure you also be present on 2 and 3 November!
Brainstorm Festival is known as an independent cultural rock- and metalfestival, that provides a stage to both new talent as well as metal-dinosaurs. The festival combines hardrock with extreme metal. Besides concerts Brainstorm Festival offers a program in the theater of the club with acoustic performances, interviews, debate and competitions. Also there is an exposition taking place each year, plus a small metal-market.
