P.O.D have released their first official single, Lost In Forever from their forthcoming new studio album,Murdered Love. The single is now available for download on iTunes HERE and you can listen to an exclusive stream of the song below.

Lost in Forever is getting a great reception at radio with adds coming in early in over 25 markets across various formats including Active/Mainstream/Alternative and Christian. The song debuts this week on the Active and Christian rock charts one week before impact date.

The band recently shot a music video for Lost In Forever in the California desert, the clip is in post-production now and expected for release in early May. Murdered Love Expected In-Stores & Online June 19th 2012

Murdered Love is the first new studio album in four years and is now confirmed for release on June 19th 2012. This album is P.O.D.‘s long-awaited follow-up to When Angels & Serpents Dance. Murdered Love sees the band reunited with long-time producer Howard Benson who also produced the band’s massive Satellite album alongside hit albums for Kelly Clarkson, Theory Of A Deadman, Daughtry, and My Chemical Romance.

P.O.D. will head out this spring and summer for a series of high-profile radio shows and festivals and will co-headline a tour with RED with support by Love And Death [featuring ex-Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch] and Icon For Hire. The tour will make stops throughout the Midwest and East Coast, tour dates are listed below.

P.O.D. [Payable on Death] formed in 1992 has logged a remarkable array of achievements, including worldwide sales exceeding 10 million, a series of chart topping radio hits, and an unprecedented four #1 MTV videos. With a 15-year career under their belts, P.O.D. has released seven studio albums, received three Grammy Award nominations, contributed to numerous motion picture soundtracks, and toured the world over many times. With their third studio album, The Fundamental Elements of Southtown, they achieved their initial mainstream success – the album was certified Platinum by the RIAA in 2000. Their following studio album, Satellite, continued the band’s success with the hit singles, “Alive” and “Youth of the Nation,” pushing it to go triple platinum. The band’s line-up consists of vocalist Sonny Sandoval, drummer Wuv Bernardo, guitarist Marcos Curiel, and bassist Traa Daniels.

P.O.D.‘s last album, When Angels & Serpents Dance, sold 34,000 in the United States in its first week of release in April 2008 to debut at position No. 9 on The Billboard 200 chart.

The band’s previous CD, Testify, registered a first-week tally of just over 54,000 back in February 2006 to land at No. 9.

When Angels & Serpents Dance featured guest appearances from the Marley Sisters, Suicidal Tendencies singer Mike Muir and Helmet guitarist Page Hamilton.
