Evanescence have announced their highly-anticipated sixth album, Sanctuary.
The follow-up to 2021’s The Bitter Truth, it’ll arrive on June 5. Posting about it on Instagram, the band reveal that it’s been “over three years in the making, and we are so damn proud of every second of it. Hope you love it and can’t wait for you to hear it! Here we go!”
The first single is ‘Who Will You Follow’, a track that taps into the band’s classic sound, with Amy Lee’s soaring, emotional vocals matched by the fierce dynamism of the rest of the band. “What have you done to me / You drain the life out of me till I don’t know myself / When all your faith in reality fades away / Who will you follow,” she sings.
The track has been co-written and produced by former Bring Me The Horizon member and prolific producer Jordan Fish as well as Zakk Cervini (Spiritbox, Yungblud), both of whom have contributed to other tracks on ‘Sanctuary’, as has producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Rush).
