THE BLAMED Releases Ep with Classic Tracks, Pride Kills & Best Friend

‘Pride Kills & Best Friend’ from The Blamed is out on CD and digital!

This special EP featuring the songs ‘Pride Kills’ and ‘Best Friend’ from Left Out capture The Blamed giving these now classic tracks an audio update that they very much deserve. It also gives them a chance to pay tribute to the late Brent Kaping, who played bass for the band for many years. Brent was an awesome musician and brought an incredible sense of humor and burst of energy to every show and song he recorded.

“I am honored to put this out on CD. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate an awesome guy like Brent and the punk rock ethos and Christian beliefs he lived by. One of my fondest memories is sitting in a car with Brent for three hours on a road trip from Austin, TX to Dallas, TX for Tooth & Nail Fest just talking about music and nothing in general,” Charon label-head Eric Shirey shares.

These songs were originally written and recorded by Jacob Landrau and Bryan Gray in 1996 for the debut Left Out album.

Keith Konya did the original artwork in 1996 and it was censored for obvious reasons. The original artwork is a photo of a building being destroyed by a storm which coincided with the “Pride Kills” theme.

You can purchase or stream it now at theblamedtcc.bandcamp.com/album/pride-kills-best-friend.
