With Serenity another interesting name has been added to the line-up of Brainstorm Festival. The band from Austria will hit the stage on Saturday 4 November. Besides enjoying some great music this is a good opportunity to get some extra history-lessons.
When it comes to the lyrics of Serenity it’s all about history. That doesn’t come as a surprise when you know that vocalist Georg Neuhauser is a history-teacher. But his students doesn’t get their lessons packed so nicely. Serenity has become one of the better symphonic power-metal bands in Europe, and for sure is considered of the favourites for many metalfans.
Earlier we already confirmed Extol (progressive death-metal) and Xandria (symphonic metal) for the 16th edition of Brainstorm Festival, that will take place on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 November in Podium Gigant in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands. Besides concerts on the mainstage there is a theaterstage for (acoustic) performances and band-interviews. The festival also offers an exposition, beer tasting sessions and a small cd-market
Brainstorm Festival was formed in the beginning of 2008 with a clear mission to enter a new era of music festivals as we know it. Brainstorm Festival is known as an independent cultural rock- and metalfestival, that provides a stage to both new talent as well as metal-dinosaurs. The festival combines hardrock with extreme metal. Besides concerts Brainstorm Festival offers a program in the theater of the club with acoustic performances, interviews, debate and competitions. Also there is an exposition taking place each year, plus a small metal-market.
