Startled by SilenceStartled by Silence is a new metalcore band from Harderwijk, The Netherlands. Female melodic vocals combined with screaming that would blow even Randy Blythe away, backed up by bashing breakdowns with a big dash of groove, that’s what practically sums up Startled by Silence.

In the first weekend of March they will release their debut EP. More info about their upcoming shows as support from German post hardcore band Aliens Ate My Setlist can be find below.

Earlier this week the band posted the following message on their facebook profile: “We’re sorry to inform you that we have parted ways with Joël our bassplayer. We’ve talked about this as a band and we have made a choice to part with Joël. Not because of personal reasons, he is still a friend and a great dude, but we think it is better for the band.”

“We’ve found a new bassplayer, Christian Kuiper, he will be filling up Joël’s place.”

“We are looking forward to a great time with lots of new experiences and we hope you will keep supporting us!”
