Sevendust recently released their fourteenth studio album Truth Killer on July 28 via Napalm Records. The album was produced by long-time collaborator Michael “Elvis” Baskette (Falling In Reverse, Alter Bridge, Limp Bizkit). The band has released three singles from the record so far – ‘Fence,’ ‘Everything,’ and ‘Holy Water.’ The GRAMMY® nominees are on tour with Alter Bridge through the end of August.
Since forming in Atlanta, Georgia in 1994, Sevendust have established themselves as one of the most consistent and enduring bands in modern heavy music. They’ve created a discography that’s seen nine albums crack the Top 25 on the Billboard 200. Three of their albums have been certified Gold by the RIAA. The band’s 2015 album Kill the Flaw hit No. 13 on the Billboard 200. The song “Thank You” garnered the band a GRAMMY® Award nomination for Best Metal Performance in 2016.
In the fall, Sevendust will embark on The Machine Killer Tour with Static-X. The trek kicks off at 713 Music Hall on October 6 in Houston and wraps up at The Wiltern on November 1 in Los Angeles. Special guests for the run will be Dope and Lines of Loyalty.
“We can’t wait to hit the road with our friends in Static-X and DOPE,” Sevendust frontman Lajon Witherspoon said. “It has been 24 years since the last time we have shared a stage with those guys. We can’t wait to do it again this Fall and to bring together all of our family members together in one place.”
“We’re excited to join our friends in Static-X and Dope who we share much history with on tour,” adds Sevendust guitarist Clint Lowery. “I have no doubt that this will be an extremely entertaining and high production run. The bands and the fans have much to look forward to on this one. Do not miss out!”
