Israeli progressive folk metal masters Orphaned Land will release a new studio album on January 26, 2018 via Century Media Records. Most parts of the disc, which will be titled “Unsung Prophets And Dead Messiahs”, have already been recorded and Jens Bogren will once again take over mixing and mastering duties of what is to be destined to become the band’s best and biggest production so far. “Unsung Prophets And Dead Messiahs” will feature a guest appearance of guitar virtuoso Steve Hackett and more specials will be announced soon.

Singer and frontman Kobi Farhi comments: “Hails from the recording studio! We are so thrilled and impatient for you all to hear ‘Unsung Prophets And Dead Messiahs’. I wish to inform our old school fans: Growls are back as well as killer melodies that will break your hearts! On a personal note: It’s such a great feeling after a career of 25 years to know that we are still at our bests by all means. Prepare for something strong! Count the days with us till Jan 26th, 2018!”

The release of “Unsung Prophets And Dead Messiahs” will be followed by an extensive European tour in early 2018. There will also be a U.S. tour in September 2017.

Orphaned Land‘s North American headlining tour kicks off Sept. 6th. with a performance at ProgPower USA inside the Center Stage in Atlanta with Between the Buried and Me, Metal Church, and Twilight Force. For their headlining tour, Orphaned Land won’t be the only anticipated performance. Hailing from Sweden, industrial metal outfit Pain became a powerhouse in their homeland with the albums “Nothing Remains the Same” and “Dancing with the Dead.” Pain mastermind Peter Tägtgren is no stranger to performing in North America; as the frontman for metal outfit Hypocrisy, he has toured the area numerous times, but this will be his first time touring here under the Pain moniker. Chinese metal outfit Voodoo KungFu will be the opening act.

Orphaned Land’s latest album “All Is One” was released in North America on June 25th  2013 [one day earlier internationally] via Century Media Records. The cover artwork for the follow-up to 2010’s “The Never Ending Way Of ORwarriOR” was created by the French artist Metastazis [Paradise Lost, As I Lay Dying, Sonne Adam, Watain] by perfectly incorporating the three biggest religious symbols into one piece of art.

“All Is One” was mixed by Jens Bogren [James Labrie, Devin Townsend Project, Opeth] and was recorded in three different countries: Israel, Turkey and Sweden. Ironically, these countries are Jewish, Muslim and Christian, respectively, which strengthens the Orphaned Land message of unity through music. Over 40 musicians were used to flesh out the sound of “All Is One”, including 25 choir singers and eight classical violin, viola and cello players from Turkey.
