Nyves, the electronic project featuring Demon Hunter frontman Ryan Clark and ex-Project 86 guitarist/keyboardist, etc. Randy Torres, have released a music video for ‘Just Give Up’ The video premiered earlier today at PopMatters! The song is taken from their debut album “Anxiety” which has been released on June 23rd 2015 through Spartan Records. The video can be seen below.
“This video would not have been possible without the amazing support that we received on Kickstarter, so thank you to everyone who has supported this project in any way!”
“‘Thematically, “Just Give Up” deals with the struggle of feeling helpless or powerless. The song’s lyrics are essentially an offering of life’s big questions—specifically, ‘what’s it all for?’” says NYVES’ Ryan Clark. “This is something that everyone is faced with at one time or another throughout life, and I think it’s healthy to share feelings on it.”
Demon Hunter and Project 86 have never been strangers to electronic components. Both bands have explored these elements in the details of the songs. Nyves essentially puts a microscope to these elements, using them as a foundation, and adding familiar sounds like gritty, distorted guitars and real drums. The outcome could be described as a fitting extension of any of our other musical endeavors — just with an emphasis on these electronic details.
