‘Mychildren Mybride’ – New Song Available for Streaming ‘Act I: Elysium 77’ (Feat. Telle Smith of The Word Alive)

Mychildren Mybride have released another brand new single, titled ‘Act I: Elysium 77’, available for streaming below. “‘Elysium 77’ is the beginning of a story, one that deals in the haunting emptiness after losing someone you love,” says vocalist Matthew Hasting. The new single is the second track we’ve heard from the band’s all new LP coming this fall. ‘Thorns’ was released last month and can also be heard below.

Tyler “Telle” Smith, frontman from The World Alive also serves as a guest vocalist on the track. Hasting continues, “Being able to feature Telle was something that was really exciting for us. We’ve known each other, and have been performing together for much of each other’s careers. Him coming to the studio, and jumping on a track was just like hanging out any other day. A few takes and the deed was done.”

Telle comments:

The only guest vocal I did in 2017… Go jam this mychildren mybride song! Act 1: Elysium 77 is super rad. When Matthew hit me up, I told him to send me the rough version and instantly I knew the vibe I wanted to go for.

I loved the band Fear Before (The March Of Flames) and figured I would let that influence shine through.

Matthew and Robert have been friends for about 10 years now, happy to be a part of their best album yet!

‘Act 1’ takes likeness to a summer movie ballad, in the vein of Linkin Park. Telle‘s singing blended with my screaming, bouncing back and forth and combining to become something new. It was an honor to have him on our record, and we can’t wait for you all to hear it!”

Both ‘Thorns’ and ‘Act I: Elysium 77’ are available on all streaming platforms and as iTunes instant gratification tracks, meaning, fans who pre order the album get both tracks instantly.

The band’s first new album in five years, “Vicious World” is due out Oct. 13 via Entertainment One Music / Good Fight Music. On this release, the band worked closely with producer Travis Richter, best known as longtime guitarist of From First To Last.

“For the artwork, I collaborated with the amazing artist Sam Wolfe Connelly to capture the eeriness and darkness of the record in one image,” Hasting explains. “This record has taken us down a long and very winding road. But we’re very thankful for eOne Music and Good Fight Music for believing in us and our passion for creating music. We can’t wait for you all to hear Vicious World!”
