Lazarus Complex returns with their latest single, ‘The Great Divide!’ The deathcore duo continues their reign of terror by addressing the inner decay they see eating away at the very foundations of their faith. It all boils down to who and what are the most important aspect of the Christian Creed.

‘The Great Divide’ is about us as Christians tearing each other apart over denominations. [I claim] that [I’m] more holy than you because I believe this [way]… the only true repentance we have is to realize deep down we are evil and need to turn to God,” shares guitarist Joe Murphy.

What many might find to be very heavy subject is accompanied by an equally fitting soundtrack which batters the listener with crushing riffs and brutally pounding percussion. Murphy expanded on what influenced the essence of ‘The Great Divide.’

“It’s also a bit of our ode to ‘There Will Be Violence’ by Impending Doom,” he remarked.

The new single, ‘The Great Divide,’ from Lazarus Complex is out now and available to purchase or stream via The Charon Collective.

Massachusetts duo Lazarus Complex isn’t your typical dose of metal mayhem. Formed in 2020, singer Jacob Schultheis and songwriter Joe Murphy aren’t content with just throwing heavy riffs together over blast beats. Citing influences from Killswitch Engage and Whitechapel to Bury Your Dead, they take things to the next level by infusing a sense of melody and even progressive metal into the mix.
