‘As I Lay Dying’ Release New Video For ‘Paralyzed’ From ‘Decas’

As I Lay Dying ended 2011, the year of their tenth anniversary as a band, with an extremely successful headlining tour.The Decade of Destruction Tour ran November-December through the US. While on the tour, the band captured live footage from several shows. The footage was edited by the band’s own Nick Hipa into what has become the band’s next video:Paralyzed. The video encapsulates As I Lay Dying in a special moment in time; their tenth anniversary tour in front of sold-out crowds full of devoted fans. The video can be streamed below.

As I Lay Dying are currently writing their fifth album and are preparing to enter the studio this April. The producer, title, art and all other details will be released over the next few months. Fans can expect to hear new material this summer as the band performs as part of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. Dates and tickets can be found over on rockstarmayhemfest.com.

As I Lay Dying will be headlining the HM Stage at this years Sonshine Festival in Willmar MN on July 12th. 2012.  On the same stage will also play:  Sleeping Giant, Oh Sleeper, Onward To Olympas, Your Memorial, The Great Commision, A Plea For Purging.  This years festival will be held July 11 -14th.

Sonshine Festival is a Christian music festival held annually in Willmar, Minnesota, usually the second weekend in July. It features Christian musical artists from the United States and around the world. The festival hosts a wide variety of bands and has hosted regional concerts, such as one which centered on bands from Australia including: Paul Colman Trio, Rebecca St. James, and The Newsboys. Decas, the new album from San Diego, California metallers As I Lay Dying, was released on november 8th. 2011, sold 9,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 61 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band’s previous CD, 2010′s The Powerless Rise, opened with 38,000 units to land at No. 10. This was roughly in line with the first-week tally of An Ocean Between Us, which premiered with 39,500 copies back in August 2007.

Decas, which contains 12 tracks, celebrates the band’s accomplishments by offering three brand new songs, cover songs that pay homage to just a few of the bands that have influenced As I Lay Dying, and remixes by Innerpartysystem. [Katy Perry, Lady hawke, Thursday, Good Charlotte and many others], Benjamin Weinman [The Dillinger Escape Plan], Kelly “Carnage” Cairns [Austrian Death Machine, War of Ages], and Big Chocolate [Asking Alexandria, iwrestledabearonce, Suicide Silence].
