Hal Leonard has released the official note-for-note guitar tab book for “Awakened”, the sixth album from San Diego metallers As I Lay Dying. It includes notes and tab for all 11 songs off the CD.
Awakened, the sixth album from As I Lay Dying, has been released Sept. 25 2012 via Metal Blade Records. The CD was produced by Bill Stevenson, who has played drums for both the Descendents and Black Flag and is one of the most highly renowned producers in rock. His production credits include work on records by Rise Against, NOFX, Propaghandi, The Casualties and many more. The album was mixed by Colin Richardson [Machine Head, Napalm Death, Slipknot].
The cover artwork for Awakened was created by Metastazis with Tiffanie Uldry.
Mainman Tim Lambesis was booked at the Vista Detention Facility in Vista, California on May 7 on suspicion of solicitation to commit murder for allegedly hiring someone to kill his estranged wife. He has pleaded not guilty.
As I Lay Dying were meant to hit the highways of North America for a tour with Killswitch Engage, the band have announced that they will no longer be performing as scheduled. With their vocalist facing a lengthy prison sentence, the rest of the band have decided to lay low, rather than push on with a replacement. Read the band’s statement HERE.
