It is melodic, but also brutal: with Nephylim, Brainstorm Festival is broadening the line-up for the upcoming edition with a dose of melodic death-metal. Moreover, NatusSumMori is joining the party. The Germans arm themselves not only with rock-instruments, but also with cello, violin, and flute.
Friends and foes alike agree on one thing: Nephylim is a promising force within the Dutch metal scene. The gentlemen from ’s-Hertogenbosch are working hard to make a name for themselves, and their latest album ‘Circuition’ is a smash hit. Recently, the band toured Europe as support for Iotunn and In Vain. Fans know enough then: this is going to be melodic, this is going to be melancholic, this is going to be brutal!
NatusSumMori could very well be the surprise of the festival. Never before has a band with ten members taken the stage. The Germans play a mix of symphonic and extreme metal, complementing it with classical instruments. That alone must be an experience. The band is appearing in The Netherlands for the first time and will kick off the festival on our mainstage on Friday-evening.
