German death metallers Sacrificium recently checked in with the following sad news:
Dear Sacrificium fans:
After 23 years bandmembership our drummer Mario Henning decided to leave the band. Therefore we have to cancel all shows we have booked so far until we have found someone who fits as a drummer to us. Here is what Mario says about it:
„After a long period of twisting and turning i decided to leave Sacrificium. Since 1995 i went with the band thru good and bad. Now it is time for me to make some space for someone new and focus on other things in my life. I want to thank all fans for 23 years full of loyality and my bandmates for the good times we had and the patience with me.
For the future i wish Sacrificium all the best and success with all the challenges that might show up. We will see us again! Mario“
We, as a band, want to thank Mario for all the years with Sacrificium and regret to lose with him a super nice and talented person.

Meanwhile Sacrificium is recording the upcoming EP „The avowal of the centurion“ which will include 4 new songs, 1 bonus cover song and with Mario for the last time as a drummer of Sacrificium.
Sacrificium‘s latest & long-awaited album “Prey For Your Gods” has been released on Nov. 29th. 2013 via Whirlwind Records, it marked also the bands 20th anniversary.
