After a ten-year career, Seven Angels, one of the biggest names of the Christian Brazilian metal scene are breaking up. [Not to be confused with Seventh Angel from the United Kingdom]. A message from frontwoman Debora Serri, can be read below:
Dear friends, unfortunately I am making official the end of the band Seven Angels. The band started in January of 2000 and has been paused since June of 2010. These were wonderful years of my life and also an unforgettable experience, but sometimes one dream comes to an end. I remember like it was today when the band started. I did not stop loving and praying for this band even for I day, and never came to my mind that I would be writing this letter, specially for the reasons the project ended.
Reasons I prefer not to bring to the public, that were not even close to the frustration that I faced when I realized we would have to stop this ministry. I believe that we paid the price of our ministry and worked hard while playing and everything was done in God’s time, he is all knowing and almighty. Now everybody in the band is following new paths and projects and I hope we can meet down the road of evangelizing through music. I also would like to thank everybody that somehow was part of the Seven Angel’s history; we have been working in this project more than 10 years and the names would be too many to list here, as I would like to. Inside my heart I feel divided in two parts, one that is sad because the band isn’t returning, a band that I loved, dreamed about and dedicated my self so much to, but in the other hand I have peace and I am convinced that God knew everything would happen and the he is in control of all my life and future.
