Swedish AOR Rockers ‘Osukaru’ Announce Line-Up Changes

osakaru_2016Swedish hard rock / AOR band Osukaru have parted ways with vocalist Cecilia Camuii, who sang on and visually fronted the bands latest two studio albums “Triumphant” (2013) and “Transition” (2015). Cecilia have released the following statement:

“I would like to start by thanking my wonderful band mates for this amazing time! I learned a lot and it helped me grow as an artist. But unfortunately I will be leaving Osukaru. Due to my other engagements I simply do not have the time to participate as whole-heartedly as this band deserves. They have my full support and I wish them nothing but the best. I also want to thank everyone of you who have listened and enjoyed our music as well as those of you I met when playing live.”

Replacing Cecilia is the new keyboardist and vocalist Eugenia who will make her live debut with Osukaru in Kungsbacka, Sweden on February 12th 2016. Also joining the band as a full time member is former session bassist Fredrik Svensson.

Eugenia says: “I’m so honoured to have joined this band and to continue from where Cecilia left off. I think it’s a great opportunity from different perspectives and hopefully I’ll be able to help create some new great tunes with the guys as well. I can’t wait to start the tour and hit the road. It’s amazing to have been given this chance.”

Guitarist and founder Oz Osukaru says: “For some time we actually wasn’t sure if we wanted to continue as a vocal duo or not but after hearing Eugenia sing, we just knew we wanted her onboard.”

Osukaru are soon about to release a video for the song ‘Edge of A Broken Heart’, taken from their last album “Transition”. This will be the final video to feature Cecilia as a member of the band.
