‘Slechtvalk’ – Awaits the Edited Result of Photoshoot, New Update Available

slechtvalk_logoThe Dutch extreme metal band Slechtvalk finished recording their new album In April of last year. The upcoming album is recorded, mixed & mastered with Lasse Lammert at the LSD-Studio in Lübeck (Germany). Initially the release was postponed to early 2016, but it will take a little longer. The band have checked in with the following update:

“We were long due with another update. A few weeks ago we’ve done a photoshoot and now we await the edited result. Just like the pictures for our last album, we asked Awik Balaian to take the pictures and edit them to have them get same atmosphere as the cover artwork.”

Awik is still working on them and as soon as we’ve got an enhanced band-picture that meets our requirements, we’ll be able to send out promo-packages to a select number of labels. We’re very happy with the support we received thus far from our loyal fans and your patience, we think a (big enough) label will help us with bringing our new album to the attention to all those that haven’t heard from us yet.”

“Ofcourse we can not delay the release inevitably, so once we sent out the promo’s we want to make the decision within 2 months whether we opt for a self-release and hope you, our fans, will help us in getting the word out and promote the new album wherever you go, or mayhaps have found a record label that’s willing to sign us and make sure the album gets all media attention it deserves at decent terms (unfortunately we’ve heard of many labels offering strangle-contracts).”

“In the first scenario we think the album will be ready for release late June or August (depending on the ‘right time’ to plan a release party), in the second scenario the label may have their own ideas on it.”

“During the coming months we’ll be playing a couple of gigs (March 26th at Metalyard (Atak – Enschede (NL)) & April 23rd at Brabant Metal Fest (JC-TODO – Best (NL))) and then you can hear us play several of the new songs live!”
