Dutch Metalcore Outfit ‘The Royal’ to Release New Album “Deathwatch” In March, Releases Music Video for First Single

Dutch Metal Band The Royal keeps exploring the wide variety of today’s metal scene. After the release of their first label release “Seven” – which was hailed for its catchy riffs and uplifting songs – The Royal played numerous club shows and festivals across 25 European countries during a 2 month tour. This was followed by a series of intercontinental shows during a 4 week tour in Japan and China.

Writing songs on tour and 5 guys discussing rather heavy topics at times, The Royal decided to explore the darker side of metalcore on their upcoming album “Deathwatch”. The new record is a mix of catchy riffs with heavy breakdowns and ambient sounds. There is a lot of raw emotion put into this upcoming record, in which the band processes what has been a very emotional past year. Writing, producing, designing and a lot of other DIY brings this album closest to what it should be. Whether it’s vocalist Sem Pisarahu writing about life struggles, or the exceptional guitar work of JD and Pim; if you like shadowy, epic sounding, emotional metal music, rest assured; this album is for you.

‘Nine For Hell’ appears on the upcoming album which will be released March 8th, 2019 through Long Branch Records, check out the music video below.

Tracklist:
1. Pariah
2. Savages
3. State Of Dominance
4. Soul Sleeper
5. Deathwatch (feat. Ryo Kinoshita)
6. Exodus Black

8. Lone Wolf
9. Avalon

The Royal self-released their EP, “Origins”, in 2012 and their single, ‘Blind Eye’, in 2013, followed by their first full-length “Dreamcatchers” in 2014, also self-released. In the course of this release they played supportshows for acts like Architects and Breakdown Of Sanity and gained attention at festivals like Jera On Air and Impericon Festival. This band fuses metal, groove and melody and delivers it in an advanced manner. This, combined with their flowing and thoughtful lyrics and their stellar live performance, shows that The Royal is a force to be reckoned with.

Their latest album “Seven” is released worldwide March 31st 2017 through Long Branch Records. The album contains 10 brand new tracks, including the singles ‘Wildmind’ and ‘Seven’.
