Female fronted hybrid metal band Adorned In Ash has checked in with the following announcement:
“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we bid farewell to one of the best bassists in SA metal…Marinus Terblanche! Marinus has decided to move on for personal and career options. He remains like family to us in the band and will be sorely missed both as a musician and a brother! He played close to 100 gigs and Thursday’s show at Rumours will probably be his last. In light of this news,”
“Adorned in Ash will be seeking to replace these immense shoes. Please contact us personally or on this page or mail to email@example.com if you are interested in playing bass. We ask that only committed, skilled people who understand the reasons why we play in this band should apply”.
Adorned In Ash is hailing from Pretoria, South Africa. Their influences include everything from thrash, speed and groove metal bands to more progressive & technical death & black metal.
The band says: ‘We aim to bring melody as well as technicality into our music, in order to appeal to a wide and varying audience, without ever compromising on the brutality & power of the death metal genre.’
‘Ultimately, the band exists for one purpose and one purpose only, and that is to bring glory to the One Eternal and Mighty God, who sent His Son Jesus Christ to rescue us from hell…and ourselves.’
‘Thanks to His death, we can truly live. Our bodies may fade away, but our hearts are been transformed from strength to strength. This temporary world may turn against us, but we will endure forever under His perfect love and faithfulness.’
