In the midst of a 90s-hardcore revival in Florida, With Increase bring you “Death Is Inevitable”, their first full length album and follow up to their 2011 EP, “Signs of the Time”. Mixed by Kevin Bernsten [Pianos Become the Teeth, Coke Bust, Code Orange Kids], the first song ‘Fort Lonesome’ can be streamed below, and is just a sample of the emotional punch packed into all 10 tracks.
Florida has a long history as a hot-bed for Spirit-filled hardcore and Tampa’s With Increase are a fresh spark in that lineage. Alongside local friends and now labelmates Strengthen What Remains, With Increase are among a new breed actively picking up the torch previously carried by such great bands as Strongarm, Sleeping By The Riverside, Seventh Star, and Call To Preserve, all of whom called Florida home. While they don’t necessarily share a sonic similarity to all of these predecessors, the focus of their music draws from the same passion and drive.
With their debut EP, “Signs Of The Time”, With Increase demonstrate their incredible talent for balancing a melodic hardcore intensity with something more raw and, at times, almost desperate. The result finds the band clearly drawing influences from contemporaries, yet still creating a sound uniquely their own. If nothing else, their debut’s four songs serve as a small taste of the awesome music sure to come.
