‘Pospolite Ruszenie’ – ‘Nieście chwałę, mocarze’ music video released

Pospolite Ruszenie (Levy in mass) has brought together musicians from two completely different musical worlds: that of rock, and that of early music. The band’s line up comprises members of the cult band Open Folk and rock bands such as Illuminandi and Rumor.

Their music fuses (hard) rock with mediaeval, renaissance and baroque music; a classic rock line-up is accompanied by musicians performing on replicas of period instruments. They use original Old Polish poetry for their lyrics. The band just released their first EP – Swiebodnosc  (the title comes from medieval song popular in XV century and means a generosity or a magnanimity). All songs are available to download from their website. Their first music video can be watched below.

Line-up: Jan Trebacz – vocals, hurdy-gurdy Pawel Iwaszkiewicz – bagpipes, flutes, schawms Pawel Muzyka – vielle, viola da gamba (treble and tenor), violone Krzysztof Kramarz – electric guitars (6 and 7 string), acoustic guitars Papirus – drums Bako – bass guitar
