MxPx All Stars to headline South American & European tour. New All-Star line-up Featuring Mike Herrera, Jose Garzon of FLF
And Harley Trotland of Tumbledown. Support act will be Tumbledown.

Back on international duty, MxPx All-Stars will embark on a
three-week tour through South America and Europe starting on October 12 in Mexico City, Mexico and ending on October 29 in Stadthalle Buelach, Switzerland. [Tour dates listed below].

In 2010 the All-Star version of Bremerton, WA’s infamous pop-punk trio, MxPx, originated as an outlet for frontman and bassist Mike Herrera to still tour while guitarist Tom Wisniewski and drummer Yuri Ruley took time off. After the success of 2010’s Japan and Asia shows and 2011’s Soundwave Festival dates throughout Australia, featuring Ataris frontman Kris Roe on guitar and Chris Wilson of The Summer Obsession on drums, Herrera decided to keep the momentum going and the impromptu performances alive by shaking up the line-up and bit. This tour’s line-up features Herrera along with Jose Garzon of FLF on guitar and Harley Trotland of Tumbledown, on drums.

Herrera’s alt-country band Tumbledown will be the main support on the tour. Having toured the U.S. and Mexico, this will be the band’s first trip to South America and Europe. Herrera and Trotland will be playing in each of the bands for each show. Tumbledown is touring support of their sophomore album, Empty Bottle, the band’s second release through indie label End Sounds, which is proving to be a defining album for Tumbledown, a follow-up to their self-titled album released in 2009.

The music of MxPx has been known for its ability to unite formerly distinguished fan bases such as the skate/surf community and the punk underground for almost two decades. The song selection on this tour will consist of tracks from MxPx’s massive catalog, some acoustic versions from Herrera, and of course, some new material from their ninth full-length album, which will be released early 2012.
